Happy Birthday Jesus
Every year the boys and I make a birthday cake for Jesus' birthday! We bake and decorate the cake, then sing Happy Birthday to Jesus. They love it! I had already bought the cake mix and we planned on baking the cake Christmas Eve. But the doorbell rang this morning and a package was on our doorstep. We opened the package and inside was the coolest cakelet pan ever!!! Matt's brother's family bought us this.
I can't even begin to explain how excited they were! They even played in the box it came in :)
So we decided to make Jesus cakelets today! Athen said Jesus would LOVE car cakes. Once we baked them they came out looking like this! So cool already.
Unfortunately I didn't have food coloring or colored icing, so we made due and decorated them with what we had. Here is TowMater.
Athen loved decorting them. This is him with Francesco and McQueen!
Here are all of them decorated.
And Maximo wasn't much into decorating just eating :).
And check out this little guy just hanging out watching us!
And in the middle of decorating this little guy wondered through our backyard. We tried to get close to him but he went inside his shell so this was the best picture I could get.
Tonight we decided to go through our neighborhood and check out all the Christmas lights. We put the older boys in the stroller and Ty in the wrap and walked around. Every house that had a big light display Athen would jump out of the stroller and look at the lights. As soon as Athen was out of the stroller Maximo was out of the stroller, every step Athen took Maximo took, every puddle of water Athen stepped in Maximo stepped in, every turn Athen made Maximo made. I always knew Maximo did what Athen did, but tonight it was so evident that he is a shadow of Athen. It was so fun to watch him follow every single thing he did. And when we got home Athen sat down in front of our Christmas lit palm tree and so did Maxi...
