Nana Visits!
We loved having Nana here! We did so many things with her. It's nice to have an extra person around to help with carseats, feeding the boys, playing with them, and sharing in the lack of sleep :)
We spent a lot of time at the beach while Nana was visiting. Athen loves the ocean and loves playing in the waves. Maximo doesn't care for the water (maybe because it is so cold). Ty doesn't care for the water either but he will spend all day eating the sand!

Laying out isn't the same as it used to be!
Loving the water!
We also went to the park several times, went on some walks, to the pool, and to the zoo. Once I download the rest of the pictures off of my camera I will do another post. We all miss Nana so much. I can't thank her enough for taking a week off of work to spend with us.
My Sweet Athen is 4 1/2
My sweet Athen is 4 1/2 today! He is getting so big. He is growing out of his shoes and clothes so quickly! Every morning he picks out his clothes for school and every night he picks out his clothes for bed. It has become a battle I have chosen not to fight. At night he usually picks out a long sleeved t-shirt and "comfy pants." He will usually put on socks but when he goes to bed he is sure to take them off, because he tells me his feet need to breathe at night. I think Matt told him this :) He can be so funny. He is so talkative and comes up with some of the funniest stuff. He is doing well with Matt being gone but I know he misses him. This morning he asked me how many days Matt had been gone and we counted them up and it has been 49 days. He told me that is a very long time, then he asked me how many days he has left and it broke my heart to tell him 131...He knows 100 is a lot, he uses 100 as an adjective if he really wants to make his point. I love you 100 Mom, I'm 100 tired. He also uses zero as an adjective, I can't wait to tell him there are zero days left :)
Here are some pictures of Athen down at the beach. It is so funny because he never wants to go to the beach, but I can't keep him out of the water once we get there.
I can't believe in 6 months he will be 5! It is so crazy to me. Before my Mom left we made him some brownies and sang Happy Half Birthday to him and he LOVED it!

Tytan is 9 months!
Tomorrow, my sweet babe will be 9 months old! I cannot believe it! It is going by sooo fast. He already has 5 teeth and a few more coming in, he can stand all by himself, and he is soooo ready to walk. He is such a friendly little guy and has a smile for anyone. He absolutely adores his older brothers! Athen can make him giggle by just looking at him. Maximo is always playing with him and trying to control every little thing he is playing with. I love seeing all of them together. Every once in a while the older two will nap and I will get some sweet precious time alone with him and I love it. I am not sure how much he weighs now but he doesn't miss any meals.
Here are some sweet pictures of my #3!

Maxi is officially 2 1/2...
As if it wasn't completely obvious for anyone around Maximo, he is 2, but today he turns 2 1/2! Maximo is by far one of the funnest little guys around...however, he can be quite the handful. He is very stubborn, a bit moody, and can be extremely hangry. I love seeing him grow and learn. He knows almost all of his colors, recognizes the letters in his name (MAX), and can identify every single Cars car in both Cars 1 and Cars 2. He continues speech therapy and is getting better and better. He still has trouble with his L's, T's, Sh's, and D's, but every week he is improving. Every morning he wakes up ready to go and goes to bed still moving. I love watching him with his brothers. He mimics Athen's every move and is always poking, sitting, and pestering Ty.
He is the cutest little thing and has a personality to match. Here are some awesome pictures of him my friend took at an Easter Egg Hunt.
I love my little Maximo and I can't believe he is 2 1/2! Time sure flies.

Easter Baskets
In my last post I forgot to include pictures of my sweet little ones opening their Easter baskets! Matt and I did some shopping before he left, but I finished up and got them a few more little things! They were so excited and loved getting presents!

Easter
He is Risen! Yay for Easter. Athen is learning all about Easter in school and at Church. This morning while skyping with Matt, Matt asked him what the Easter Bunny brought him and he said, "Easter is not about presents Daddy it's about Jesus!" Love that little guy. We have had a lot of fun leading up to Easter. We dyed eggs while grandma visited!
I absolutely loved having grandma here. She helped me so much, played with the boys, let me shop (by myself), let me get some extra sleep, and made our Spring Break week so fun!
We also did a few Easter egg hunts. The first one was just with Maximo and Tytan while Athen was in school! It was a lot of fun and Maximo cleaned up!
The other egg hunt was at our church. They do a really neat journey around the church explaining all about Jesus and the resurrection. I totally forgot my camera, but all 3 boys had a great time. Here are some pictures of them being cute after the hunt :)
Today after church I took the boys down to the beach to get some cute pictures of them in their Easter outfits. I tried my best to get them all to smile but no such luck :(
We sure missed Matt today and look forward to him coming home! We are one month down and only 5 left!

Way Over Due...
I am way behind on posting any updates...We have had a few pretty rough weeks. Matt left and we were all really upset, but two days later my Uncle Drew had a massive heart attack and didn't make it. Our family was in complete shock and devastated. Uncle Drew was such a light to all of us and he is so missed! I flew home with all three boys to go to the funeral. The boys were so excited to be going to Ohio but I would never have wanted to go under those circumstances. The boys were pretty good on the plane however I am so thankful that is over!
Here is a sweet picture of Matt and the boys before he left.
Before Matt left we bought this really cool map to show the boys where Matt will be and where we are. They love looking at it and talking about Daddy being in "guitar." Athen will even pretend like he is playing a guitar.
Maximo has continued to ask us to sleep in Athen's bed with him. Athen really wanted him to sleep with him too so we were letting the two of them sleep in the same bed. Here is a picture of them snoozing together.
After they both kept falling out of his little toddler bed, I decided to get a full mattress for the two of them to sleep on. Maximo's crib converts to a full bed, but for now we are keeping it on the floor so they don't fall too far when they roll off the bed. They love it! I also like having the crib around to let Maximo know if he doesn't go to sleep or gets up in the middle of the night he will go back in the crib. It seems to be working.
While we were in Ohio Breigh brushed out Maximo's curls and he looked so stinking cute :)
we
Athen absolutely loved being around his cousins. Breigh and Jett helped me so much with all 3 boys. They were constantly with one of them and helping, helping, helping. I loved it. Ty also got spoiled and was rocked to sleep and loved on by everyone!
We were all happy to be home but miss everyone in Ohio! We went to the pool today and on our walk back Athen found this coconut so we brought it home and cut it open and Athen drank the coconut milk :)
Grandma comes tomorrow and we are all so excited!!!!
