Easter and More

The boys celebrated Easter on the road this year but we had a great time visiting family in Colorado. The trip was so fast and we wished we could have spent more time with all of the family but we were thankful that we all got to go. Traveling with 2 little ones (and pregnant) was a bit difficult and led to some stories that are actually really funny now but were not at all funny at the time. Some of the highlights were Maximo spilling an entire diet coke on me, the both of them running around like crazy men, and Maximo opening his sippy cup on the plane and not realizing the pressure would cause the milk to spray up to three rows back. Great memories! The boys got to have 2 Easter egg hunts in Colorado. They both loved all of the candy and spending time with their cousins. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of them :( We had a great time at the wedding reception and got to see so many of Matt's highschool friends.




Athen had his first Easter party at school! Unfortunately Maximo was napping and we were late for the party, so we missed the entire Easter egg hunt. However, I did get some great pictures of the boys playing on the playground after the party. It was actually cool that day and they needed jackets.




I'm excited for next Easter when I get to make 3 Easter baskets!

14 weeks to go....

Time flies, I can't believe I'm 26 weeks already. In 14 weeks we will have a sweet little baby boy added to our family. I'm completely terrified of trooping around with 3 kids, especially such young ones. We are also having trouble naming this sweet boy, we are looking for any and all suggestions. Hoping to have a name for him before he's born!
We are all getting excited for the move to Florida. Matt is going in May to look for houses and we are hoping he can find something so we can have a smooth transition. This will be our first time moving from one base to another without a transition period in the middle, so exciting! I'm not excited about being 35 weeks pregnant and moving though, but I've done it before :)

We are getting excited for Easter, Athen has his first Easter party and egg hunt at school tomorrow! I will take a lot of pictures and post them within the next couple of days.

Easter Bunny Ears!

Athen had an Easter Parade at school and he was asked to decorate a hat for the parade! He decided he wanted to decorate his favorite hat, his Corvette hat from Pappy. So we got creative and put "bunny ears" on the hat and some wiggly eyes. He loved it! Here are some picture of my cute little guy modeling his hat!

Funny Boys!

The boys are constantly doing things that make us laugh or make us want to go crazy! Maximo is really into throwing things. He is constantly throwing his food off his highchair. Most of the time he starts throwing food when he is finished eating but he also throws anything he doesn't want to eat. We have started scolding him, smacking his hand, and getting him out of his highchair anytime he starts throwing food. Last night he started throwing food and after we took him out of his highchair he ran to the timeout corner and stood there. Matt and I were cracking up. I guess he knows that we send Athen there when he gets in trouble and just thought that was where he was supposed to go. He even waited for us to tell him he could come out.


This weekend when we were at Target we told Athen he could get a car. So he picks out a really cool Lego car. As we were leaving we went through the snack aisle and Athen spotted the Oreos and begged us for them. We told him he could either have the Lego car or the Oreos, and he picked the Oreos! He also knows that Pappy always has Oreos and asked if we could take them to his house. Here is a picture of him dipping his Oreos in milk! The kid has such a sweet tooth... Maximo, on the other hand, ate one bite and was done. He loves salty food.

A trip to the city!

This weekend we took a trip to Oklahoma City! We went to the zoo, stayed in a "Texas" (Hampton Inn) that has the coolest pool, and went to Target. We had a great time, and Athen and Maximo loved every second of it. I think they will both really enjoy Florida they loved swimming. Maximo has no fear of the water or jumping into the water whether somewhere is there to catch him or not. Athen is a little more timid but still enjoys the water. We all had a great time at the zoo! The weather was perfect around 85 and it wasn't too busy. Here are several pictures of the boys enjoying the zoo!





The children's zoo has a lot of really awesome stuff for the kids. They have a petting zoo with goats, pigs and sheep. Athen was too scared to pet the animals, Maximo was not and would touch anything that would come close enough to him.

Maximo was so cute and would stand and point to every animal and make all kinds of noises. He wants to talk so badly but just can't put the syllables together.

They also have a little waterfall where the kids can splash around. Maximo wasn't too sure, but Athen loved it!



Later that evening we enjoyed a great dinner at a restaurant overlooking a semi-pro baseball field. Our table was right next to the windows and the boys loved it! The food was really great too.


It's always nice to spend time away and enjoy civilization!

Bath Time!

Here is a sweet video of the boys reading in the bath tonight! They did this for a good 10 minutes. It is so sweet to listen to their giggles :)
