Proud of my man!

Recently Matt won an award at work. The award is Company Grade Officer of the Year for the Wing. He was then going forward competing at the base level. He did not want me going because it was late at night and we had to get a sitter and the logistics weren't easy with the venue being dar away, etc... The day before I decided to go and a friend help me get a ticket a seat and drove me to the event. Another friend helped watch the boys until a sitter came for the night. As I was waiting for Matt to get to the dinner he sent me the picture of him with a sad face telling me he missed me. He walked in the front door seconds later and was so surprised. It was super fun and exciting regardless of him not winning the award.

Mardi Gras

Our neighborhood had a Mardi Gras party! The kids dressed up and we decorated their bikes and wagons and walked through the neighborhood. The kids loved pretending they were in a parade and it was fun to hang with our neighborhood pals!

Disney:)

On Super Bowl Sunday, we decided to head up to Disney for the day. We took another shot at Magic Kingdom and we had a blast. We rode some super fun rides, had a great lunch, and saw lots of Disney characters. I am so sad that we are moving so far from here and wont have the ability to just get in the car and go! Ty Ty

Ty is getting so big and so rotten. He is still so pleasant but he is so busy. He is constantly in our recycling bin grabbing stuff and running to the corner to play with it. He constantly messes up the boys "sets," carshows and climbs on everything. He is very coordinated and can make it halfway up the rockwall at our park.
He recently got a haircut and just looks so much bigger! He was always playing with his hair so he wasn't very happy about it being so short. Recently everyone got a stomach bug and it was awful. Ty thought that he was the only one allowed on my lap and would put my hair all over his head.
He is such a fun sweet little guy and I am always looking forward to his nap time so I can relax for a few hours before he is up and going again!

The moon was so pretty we had to go to the beach and check it out. I cannot believe my sweet Ty is 18 months, Athen is 5 1/4 and Maximo is 3 1/4.

Publix Field Trip

Athens preschool class took a field trip to Publix. It was so much fun. I had a friend watch Tytan and Maximo was in school so it was just Athen and me. We got to decorate a cake, get cheese from the deli, check out the lobsters, see the trash compacter, go in the huge freezer, and ask a lot of questions. Here are some pictures of our adventure.

Zane the 4th

This is our fish Zane the 4th. You might be asking why he is the fourth...well we have now had four Beta fish in a six monthish period. When Matt was deployed the boys begged for a pet, we settled on a fish. Sweet Athen picked blue because it is Matt's favorite color. He also had the privilege of naming him as well and chose Nemo Zane Karas. Zane the first lived for quite some time in his cozy fishbowl. About four months in he started to float sideways and I knew it wasn't long...Matt and I started preparing the boys for what was to come. A few days later we had to flush Zane. So the next day we went to the pet store and got Zane the second. Unfortunately, he only made it one night in the fishbowl. This was hard to break to the boys but we promised another fish. As a family we went to choose Zane the third. We choose a white beta fish and brought him home. We put him in his fishbowl, the boys went down for naps, I went out for some errands and Matt texted me that Zane the third was dead! He only made it two hours. At this point we decided to take a break from fish and a month or so later we picked up Zane the fourth. He has been with us for about 6 weeks and is doing great! The boys love him and we are hoping he sticks around :)
